5.1.1 Basic elements of the interface

1) Menu bars: Twenty-two different styles are available for customizing the user interface. All menu bars can be placed freely, adjusted in size and supplemented with any buttons.

2) Navigation: The table of contents has been integrated directly into the program interface. This provides a better overview and facilitates the call-up of the item to be edited.

3) Project data: The new project explorer connects all project data with VCmaster. Thereby, e.g. PDF documents, structural analysis or CAD data can be accessed directly from the VCmaster program interface.

4) Task pane: Formatting can be adjusted here, tasks and notes about the project can be managed and information about the document can be edited.

The most important adjustment options

5.1.3 Functions for formatting

Format settings of headings and the design of the table of contents can be saved in the document. On the one hand, this makes it possible to meet the requirements of different clients and, on the other hand, makes it easier to open on another computer whose global format settings are different.

Save the format settings in the document
Import the global format settings that are set on the currently used PC

5.1.4 Tasks

VCmaster can manage tasks. These entries are stored in the document. This allows you to create a document-specific to-do list. It is possible to distinguish between open and completed tasks.

The position in the document where the task is to be completed can be specified (Image on the right).

Create a new task
Move between completed and open tasks
Delete a task

5.1.5 Extended file information

VCmaster now manages project-related data and addresses. This information can be freely placed in the VCmaster document. For recurring data, templates can be created (image on the right).

Manage/Define Template for this Information

The placement of this information in the document is done via insert-field-fields with updating.

5.1.6 Revisions

VCmaster now offers the possibility to manage modification histories. The name and date of a revision are stored and assigned to the corresponding pages of the Section/Index function.

Create new revision
Delete revision

The placement of this information in the document is done via insert-field-fields with updating. Refer example on the right: Table with revision entries. The content of the grey fields was entered automatically.

5.1.7 Placement of dialogs

The most important input dialogs can be placed relative to VCmaster. This makes working on multiple monitors or when switching between home office and office much easier.
